Every year, Hong Kong's smallest island hosts its most vivid celebration. Join Saffron Cruises on a journey to Cheng Chau Island to experience the legendary Bun Festival!
Cheung Chau is a strange mix of modern and traditional Hong Kong. For four days, this festival which includes parades, opera performances; children dressed in colorful costumes and most importantly the bun towers - large bamboo structures several stories high, piled with sweet buns. The men of the town race up the towers grabbing as many buns as they possibly can! It's a sight you can't miss!!! The festival itself is a combination of praying to gods, ganged together, and to navigate the lost spirits.
Join Saffron Cruises for this beautiful festivity. We will embarque in Causway Bay, and set sail into Cheng Chau Island to see the fantastic bun tower celebrations. A fantastic seafood feast will be searved at one of the most legendary restaurants on this island.
